Reason FCC decision was right decision

1. Whoever builds it, keeps it. That's fair. The stupid line-sharing rules are like something from a communist or socialist government. I don't see UPS sharing their trucks with FedEx, Intel doesn't share chips with AMD, and Ford doesn't make cars for Chevrolet.
2. Perfect example is wireless (cellular) service. There are six national carriers, all of them compete using their own facilities, no sharing (unless mutually agreed upon) and the result has been that the marketplace has dictated prices not the government. And no one here can tell me that prices for wireless service has increased or that quality of service has decreased. Just the opposite is true.
3. RBOCS will not have a triple play, they have a grand slam homerun:
1)Telephone service
2)Internet service
3)Video service
4)Cellphone service
4. There will always be competition, and competition should come through technology not through line sharing. Japan is already developing TV service through cellphone service. Just need plenty of spectrum for high bandwidth. Hence choices in the future will be:
RBOCs, Cable cos, Wireless cos
5. Best value will come from RBOCs as far as internet, phone, and cellular. Video will still be dominated by cable companies because they know what they're doing when it comes to video, the rbocs are new to this field. Verizon will be offering its video service over its fiber lines by 1Q 2005, we'll see if they can get the right programming at the right price.
6. Satellite technology will probably improve and be a competitor offering voice and internet in the future adding another choice.
7. Pennsylvania doesn't deserve fiber because they have Chapter 64
8. Nothing in life is free, so why should fiber?
9. Unbundling fiber is an oxymoron. Here's why: The unbundling of fiber is an idea supported by Democrats. Democrats are liberals. Liberals support the idea of not forcing ideas upon anyone "freedom of ______"; yet they want to force unbundling fiber. See the oxymoron?
