Re: [OT] anyone donate a car in CT? The issue I have always wonder about is this. They take the title with your name on it and pass it on to who ever they sell it to. What if the end buyer slaps some old plates on it and drives around never getting it put in their name and something happens your name is still listed as the owner. I am sure in the long run your receipt from the charity will help explain it but who wants that hassle.
I know my neighbor bought a car left it in the driveway and worked on if for well over a year then donated like this. He just gave them the title that was still in the sellers name from two years ago! |
