Re: DSLi are spamming scumbags Since when did Earthlink start charging per bandwidth usage? |

You, especially you, should be very aware of this business fact since you work[ed] for an ISP. You should be ashamed for defending any Spam. During the time I worked there, I don't remember us having ever raised prices. In fact, we only lowered prices.
I don't remember spam ever being discussed as a problem from the traffic and bandwidth perspectives. Maybe since it's a smaller ISP, they're less targeted, whereas someone like EarthLink will be more heavily targeted, and might face more incoming spam traffic.

I never gave these assholes permission to use it. Well, I know you pay for your bandwidth but I don't know why you're so mad since it's obviously not increasing the amount you pay earthlink. Specially since you don't pay per byte. -- "The only thing thats worse than being blind is having sight but no vision." |

I don't believe that any current DSLi employees post on BBR.

I just delete the ones that don't make it through the filter. Not a big deal. I sleep well at night. -- Elias If it's not a big deal, what's your email address? What you're not willing to post it here? I thought spam isn't a big deal. |

We are all in agreement that spam is annoying. We also agree that DSLi sent out spam on that PARTICULAR occassion. The main question was "Is DSLi the kind of company that habitually spams?" The answer is no; however, they did on this occassion and I personally have not received any more spam from them since that occassion, nor had I received any before. -- My Mac Commentary | Morph3ous.net | Bustin, Inc. |

| Sorry, I chanced on this forum and it was on of the top threads. My point is that JHD (Just Hit Delete) is a nonsensical solution. If we say spam is OK, JHD, and every entity with motivation to send spam did so, we'd spend all day every day JHD'ing. "What's your email address?" was a shorter way of arguing that JHD is a nonsensical solution. |

Besides, I think this: »Spam Works is more the reason why spam is so pervasive.
