If your iPod Mini won't charge here's how to fix that problem. It may needed a reset.

On your ipod mini, toggle the hold button (turn it on and then turn it off), then hold the Menu and the select button (top part of the click wheel and the center button) for about 10 seconds. The Apple logo should appear and your ipod will start charging.

After countless resets, trying different cables and different computers and wanting to permanently kill it by stomping on it I had to send it in for repair. My Ipod was running low on battery, AND I wound up dropping it. I dropped it, and then it would no longer turn on! I was pretty frustrated.

I plugged my Ipod mini into my computer via the charge cable. The charge battery image popped up on the screen, but didn't appear to be charging. It just stayed frozen on the screen like that.

When I unplugged it from the computer, it wouldn't reset, as it wouldn't do ANYTHING.

Solution: Leave the Ipod mini plugged into your computer for several minutes before taking it off and resetting it. I had tried resetting it many times before I read the post. I was doing it right and everything- for some reason it took like 8 attempted resets to get the mini to work. Your post made me make that one last try! lol.

This is pretty poor, that Apple could have such a huge design flaw in such an expensive mp3 player. Couldn't a firmware update by Apple fix the problem.

On your ipod mini, toggle the hold button (turn it on and then turn it off), then hold the Menu and the select button (top part of the click wheel and the center button) for about 10 seconds.

The Apple logo should appear and your ipod will start charging.
