Re: BT slowdowns I should clarify before this gets any further that what I said was not an official position of Shaw Communications Inc., nor that the events I describe actually occurred the way I described them; this was my perception only; I was not present at any meetings about this topic; it was relayed to me through a co-worker.
Please don't bring this up; I need this job and don't want to be fired. I did not mean to offend anyone; my words to were meant to spread the truth as I see it, and to prevent people from troubleshooting this by re-installing Windows and SP2, as I've had to do it too many times and it's such a pain in the ass.
In fact, can the Admin for this forum please remove my previous two posts? Thanks. |

ShawInsider, don't worry, your IP isn't public and there's no way Shaw can find out your IP from posting here unless they have a court order against DSLReports/BroadbandReports (which i seriously doubt will happen). Keep posting, your help is appreciated. -- nfx |

Don't put it past Shaw to break any laws regarding "getting" their employees. They tend to pull out all the stops to achieve their end means. This is how they present the appearance of everything running smoothly, as they will make any individuals life hell if they should say anything other than what SHAW feels you need to know. |

About the only ways Shaw can find out who this person is 1. check which IPs of theirs were accessing BBR at the time of the post (probably a few IPs). Then they could cross reference that with the IPs all of their employees had at the time in question. A sizeable job to say the least. or 2. the court order route, good luck too as they don't have much of a good reason to have that info released to them.
But yea, ShawInsider... please keep posting up info as it comes available to you. But only if you're comfortable with doing so, we all need a job so don't risk yours if you don't want to.
There are a couple of options open to you here, you can either quit posting the info. Keep posting as you were. register with the site and IM info to anyone here that's willing to post for you (I would and you have my word that I won't rat you out to anyone). -- Join BroadbandReports.com's SETI@Home Team Don't let your computer's idle time go to waste! |
