I do like eminem (don't ask please) and bands like nickelback, seether and others. I am a Metallica, and STP fan.

Not To flame you Beach Boy.Why on earth would one be a fan of metallica? I know rock n' roll is supposed to be about youth,Rebellion,good times and or whatever the popular topic of the day is.Metallica is singlehandedly responsible for the current state of affairs concerning P2P.Back in the napster days.They started suing their fans for file swapping.Testified before congress.In another words they set a precedent for what the RIAA is doing to fans today.I have never liked that ever since.I have not purchased any of their music nor have i downloaded any of it.I expressely forbid my children from downloading it,Not just them but any group in general.The fact is there are no more Led Zepplins,Grateful Deads or groups that make good music nowadays.Can one picture Ozzy Osbourne appearing before congress to complain that those evil P2P pirates are sharing his music.? ROFLMAO |

| Well I don't necessarily agree with the Artist's tactics and I might not even care for them personally. Professionally they do a fine job, I think Eminem is a good singer/rapper. Does not mean I agree with his views,I just like the music.
I Own about 3 metallica albums and about 3 Eminem albums.

Someone once stated 8 mile is a true story of his life and dealings... I have only seen bits and pieces of the movie..
My sister thought "slim shady" and Eminem was 2 different people. Hell she did not even believe me he was a white guy..

Keeping discmakers.com in business? Keeping marketing "geniuses" employed? Growing Clear Channel? Designing, creating and selling a product that is primarily designed for the best ROI?
That is why Norah Jones kicked all ass. Sometime, people who are conditioned to eat crap still need something substantial on occasion.
Or, maybe you were thinking about something different.
What we need is a truth.com kind of thing regarding the music business, although I think that the only people who actually care that today's pop music is engineered primarily to make money, already know this. Preach to the choir.
As for the MPAA, they know that their bad brother is the one who makes the real money move.
