| Outsourcing Magnolia, Ark is most definitely not anywhere close to Little Rock, in terms of close to the city. I do applaud any effort to retain the American workforce though, for better or worse; America in general has little to offer but a service industry. For the size and population of the country It's production value is appallingly bad.
At least someone, somewhere is attempting to constructively make a positive change, rather than simply whining.

Thorax1Premium join:2003-09-13 Huntington Beach, CA | I lived in Arkansas for about 10 years (born in SoCal and am currently in SoCal).
I met 1 person in those 10 years there that I could honestly say could read and write without issues. The schools system in Arkansas is a bit less than pathetic.
Arkansas is a 'right to work' state meaning the employee has little to no rights.
I had no problem making decent money there, I did not know another making anything near what I did (and that includes the lawyers and university professors at UofA).
I already know this is yet another way to exploit the country folk in Arkansas, as Wal-Mart, Tyson foods, JB Hunt, and ButterBall already does to an extreme level.
I say send those damn jobs to a real city (Dallas, NewYork, L.A., Chicago) where some reasonably intelligent folks could actually provide REAL tech support. |

You just named three Arkansans that made more money than you did. (the Waltons, Don Tyson and J.B. Hunt)
While we're at it, allow me to fix your grammatical errors:
#1 "I had no problem making decent money there, I did not know another making anything near what I did (and that includes the lawyers and university professors at UofA)."
This is an example of a run-on sentence. It Should be: I had no problem making decent money there. I did not know another making anything near what I did (and that includes the lawyers and university professors at UofA).
#2 "I already know this is yet another way to exploit the country folk in Arkansas, as Wal-Mart, Tyson foods, JB Hunt, and ButterBall already does to an extreme level."
The plurality of subjects require a singular verb:
I already know this is yet another way to exploit the country folk in Arkansas, as Wal-Mart, Tyson foods, JB Hunt, and ButterBall already do to an extreme level.
Don't bother to thank me. I am always happy to help those with reading and writing issues.

Hmm ..., I have an uncle that's the Dean of Students at UALR - he might get a chuckle out of knowing what supposed salary you were making.
While on the subject, my other uncle (his brother) is a Systems and Software Engineer for NCTR (National Center for Toxilogical Research) in, of all places, Pine Bluff ! I don't suppose you met him either, did you ?
I see one, but can you fit both feet in that mouth of yours ? -- Entice the enemy, feign disorder, and crush them. |
