Law of Supply the Demand

The Telco's provide all the hype and spend billions in advertising and people want what the see as something good. Now they're positioned to really hose those with, or about to get DSL. They'll come back and offer something they could have offered from day one, greater bandwidth. At a higher charge of course.

The Telco's claim infrastructure upgrades are cost prohibitive, so unfortunately a small percentage of areas can't get DSL. Until Tauzin - Dingle passes, then for some mystic reason it won't cost too much.

The Telco's are full of brown matter! The cable industry has been upgrading to digital services through fiber for several years now.

It boggles the mind that you work hard, save your money, have your dream home built in a growing. Then that sack of rocks known as reality smacks you right in the face. The phone company won't even talk DSL until after your phone service is installed. So you decide to play the game and order phone service only to find out later the phone company is using old pre-DSL technology. The cable company on the other hand has full digital services minus broadband which it is begining to deploy. If they can give me phone, internet and TV, then Verizon can kiss my big hairy butt.

·Verizon FiOS

I will second that, worked for Teligent until the big lay off. Would love to see anything that would hurt Verizon pass.
I currently have them for phone, cell, and DSL and no other choices that work.
If some else came along and said we could do this as well or better for the same price you could bet I would jump in a heart beat.
