I stopped downloading illegal music/movies a long time ago. My roommates moved in and used up all my bandwidth using Kazaa/BT (literally - there were times when I couldn't even load basic web pages because they would time out they were hogging so much of our connection) so I setup a m0n0wall box and enabled bandwidth throttling to keep that from happening. Then I start hearing about all these lawsuits so I blocked the ports commonly used by P2P apps and they bitched and moaned and I told them either live with it or order their own internet service.
