ZWill join:2000-09-08 Seattle, WA | Ethernet or PPPoE? Ok, I'm sure this has been asked before here, but I can't find it. Does GTE use straight DHCP Ethernet, or PPPoE? I hate installing internet connection software and don't want to install anything off my GTE setup disc if I don't have to. If it's ethernet, I shouldn't have to, right? |

Anon | reply to ZWill GTE use standard DHCP with no authentication. If you get your line through Earthlink/GTE, then you will use PPPoE for authentication purposes. |
