Good advice, but may not work. Many ISPs (mine included) are shaping traffic and closing ports to prevent BT from working. My ISP also managed to stop winmx from working. Changing the ports worked for about a week, then they figured that out too. Unfortunately, they killed nearly everything (VoIP, all my games, etc.) that wasn't web or email. Good thing I'm paying $60/month for this "broadband"
I'd be happy to pay for my usage, but they don't tell you what their limits are and don't offer an option either. In fact, they deny they're doing anything, but they are. Yours probably is too. |
