Here in the Kankakee area, gas just jumped 10-13 cents per gallon yesterday depending on the station. It's now at $1.85 at just about every station. Not surprisingly, I see prices posted from this morning on Illinoisgasprices.com and Chicagogasprices.com in parts of Cook and DuPage counties that are 15-20 cents less than here. The local good ole boys seem to be at it again around here. Since I'm going to be in DuPage County most of this weekend, I guess I'll just take my business there. |

NW chicago, prices went down maybe 20-25 cents in 2 days and went up 5 cents yesterday to 2.15 for premium. There is a marathon station on harlem between GRAND and north that has been 2.06 for premium for weeks. |

I think a lot of our situation with high taxes on gasoline, and for that matter everything else in the state can be summed up with the firing of a city worker involved yet another bribery embarassment who made $37.85 an hour. |
