Really knocked offline?

Or simply (re)moved by the spammers, due to high bandwidth costs? (which *was* the intent!) Then wooing that these spam hating treehuggers are responsible for 'disabling' their sites, hoping to gain some sympathy.

I think the latter is more likely.
