I hate George Bush for his unjust war in Iraq and other things..... But this is a good thing he has put into effect. I applaud him and hope this is a sign of change in his administration, though I don't believe this will be true....

This is nothing new. |

BillPremium,VIP join:2001-12-09 | The tax cut he gave benefitted my family, and we sure as hell ain't millionaires
But I do applaud you guys for actually saying you like something Bush has done. Enough of this "If Bush likes it, I hate it" crap. |

 | reply to lupinia My wife and I fall wayy short of millionaire status, say $950,000 short, and we received a considerable tax break last year. What a nonsensical line of thinking only the "rich" benefit from the tax cuts last year.
And on topic: Excellent news on the tax freeze |

A family of four can buy a lot of big macs with the extra $1,000 at least they got. $800 more in Child Tax credit, the increased excemption, and the huge increase in standard deduction (FINALLY making the married SD twice the single), the addition of a 10% bracket, then later expanding on that bracket.
Families of 4 making 40K saw a 100% tax cut. I saw a drastic cut in the percentage I paid as well. The percentage was in the 20's IIRC. |
