Beatrice, NE | DOS Exploit OK here is a strange one, or at least to me. Wifes pc. when I run Spy Bot, it finds DOS Exploit in the registry (see attached) Both mine and hers are behind a router, and I don't have this object. Both XP but she upgraded to SP2. I fix the problem when spybot finds it, but after the fix, you can run it again and it is still there. I have done everything I can think of (short of a complete restore), even scanning in the safe mode with system restore turned off, but no luck. Also Norton does not find.
Any Ideas? |

It's a bug in Spybot. Just ignore til spybot gets a fix in. No danger in ignoring these, they cause no problems. |

I did a search for this, and really did not find anything related to this, but may have searched the wrong areas.

As others have stated, just ignore it or download the fix (1.31 TX). This fix just updates the DSO exploit FP but was never formally released or supported. It only replaces the main Spybot executable. This FS has been fixed in the beta program so the advice is to just ignore it until the new Spybot release becomes final.
