| [MCI] VPN over Neighborhood not working. HELP I can connect to the vpn using the regular XP connection, it connects, but then when I try to use it by accessing files or doing remote desktop connection, it stops working. Sometimes it works for a few minutes, other times it just disconnects.
I had SBC dsl previously and it works fine. My co-workers with cable also do not have this trouble.
I am somewhat technically capable and noticed that my lan ip address and subnet on the dsl modem was the same private IP range as what we use at work, so I changed that, but the problem persists.
I have a visionnet adsl 202 modem and it connects directly to my pc. DHCP is enabled on the Lan side of the modem and I get my settings from that, though one wierd thing is that my pc's ip address is the same as the wan ip address on the modem. not sure what that means.
