Firefox is safe but

It doesn't have the functionality IE has.
Here are just a FEW problems.

1. Firefox cant disable plugins.
2. Selects text in the same color no matter what color background a webpage is.
3. If you click multiple dl links on a webpage and close that webpage it will only dl the first few that you clicked.
4. When you type in a form and you get to the end and hit space the space will not go down on the next line and it wont show.
5. When you save images the dl manager pops up and you have to close it manually.
6. The dl manager does not close when dling small files.
7. Time out popups on webpages that fail to load.
8. Scrolling sucks. It's slow...
9. Remembering page location after clicking link and going back.

Biggest pain for me is the lack of scrolling in a forum... bigtime suckage.

Tabbed browsing makes up for it though.

Ya, it has problems scrolling when you have more than one scroll bar in the browser. If you move your mouse over a form that has a scroll bar like the one I'm typing in now and scroll with the wheel it wont scroll, you have to click in it. If I move the mouse pointer outside the form and try and scroll with the wheel on the webpage it wont scroll. I have to click outside this form. IE doesn't have this problem.

Also, the saved addresses in the address bar do not align based on usage like they do in IE but I still like FF much better.

My main peeve is when it comes to saving images.

When you click on an image link, and are viewing it...

If you right-click on the picture tell it to save, it re-downloads the image again.

What sucks is that sometimes you have the image sitting in front of you (especially large ones), and you have to sit there and wait for it to download all over again.

What's worse is if the remote site goes down or something, you're stuck not able to save it.

I know there is an option for that and I have it set to close automatically after it dls the files but it doesn't close.

Just tried that with IE and it has the same "problem."

3. If you click multiple dl links on a webpage and close that webpage it will only dl the first few that you clicked.
If yu close the download manager too, yes it will do that.

4. When you type in a form and you get to the end and hit space the space will not go down on the next line and it wont show.
That actually is quite annoying.

7. Time out popups on webpages that fail to load.
And this is a "problem" why ? If you are trying to load a page and the request timed out, it only makes sense to say that.

9. Remembering page location after clicking link and going back.
Huh ? You have to clarify this "problem."

...and theres more.
All browsers have problems...

To disable plugins, simply rename them or move them out of the plugins directory. Very simple.

To disable a specific file type from being displayed with an installed plug-in open the Options menu in Firefox and go to the downloads options and click the Plug-in button. You can then uncheck any file types that you don't want to be handled by your currently installed plugins and they will be downloaded instead.

I know what he/she means. On some webpages there is a problem with the browser remembering what part of the page you were viewing. If you click a link at the middle of a page, then click Back, Firefox will send you to the top of the page instead of where the link was. This only happens on a few websites I visit. It used to happen with eBay and then it was fixed.

Ahhh, okay... Yeah, actually that does still happen (at least I still see it) and is annoying.

doesnt happen if you WAIT until the page finishes loading. I was viewing badmagicnumber's post, hit the link to his profile, then hit back, the top of the page is displayed but the browser is still LOADING. wait a few seconds and the page drops down to where it is supposed to.

well I only care about this site
perhaps that site has a screwy format.. why not post a bugzilla report? obviously the design of the browser is to remember your spot. Remember, every user owes the development team feedback because you're getting a product better than IE for free.

Eh?

I didn't have that problem last night.

I was viewing an image that was > 2MB.

Did a right-click / save image as.

The download dialog box appeared after a brief delay but then quickly disappeared, most likely due to saving it from the cache.
