Most likely fake. The name translates to "Regis (a company) makes kayak". Most likely this was a commercial like 'our kayaks are so good they can withstand...' |

Personally I think the footage looks too good to be fake. For instance, if it were faked for a commercial, the whale would have jumped from the center instead of off camera to the right and the panning would have been a lot smoother.
At any rate I submitted the site with the doubts voiced here to snopes.com in hopes that they'll settle the argument once and for all...
