Convenient...

they coded the very software that causes the problem... and now they want you to pay for more software to fix their crappy coding...

actually they coded the inital software, windows ie mediaplayer messenger, just other people outside took advantage of their coding efforts.

and there's not such thing as "impossible" in the computer world just like there's no such thing as "impossible" in the world of theory.

Stop talking such gibberish we all know he could code a better OS in his sleep.

Impossible is the word for we have not found a way to do it at the moment. There is no impossible in any case.

As long as software is written by humans, there will be bugs, exploits, security holes, and so on. What he says is true, unless you can tell me one operating system or piece of software that has no holes, bugs, exploits, etc.

I thought so.

Many computers are infected with adware because the users grant permission for the adware to install.

And if it was possible to create a bullet proof full function OS for multi-purpose computers, I would think that IBM or the *IX people would have come up with one by now.

Since there is no impossible, I'd like a non-trivial formal logical system under which all true statements can be proven. You can write a program that generates it if you wish. Oh, and a program that analyzes a block of code and can return an answer (in a finite time) about whether or not the analyzed block will finish executing in a finite amount of time would be nice as well.

With the first, the second will be trivial. After you've finished the second, you'll be able to trivially modify it to vet the security of any given piece of software and sloppy code will cease to be a problem.

Thanks Goedel, a solution to the halting problem would be nice. (And a free energy machine would be nice bonus as well. ) It appears tools like 3976473R and Bosstones will continue to tell everyone how little they really know.

Sarcasm was intended by the post. I am all for the development of coding. I know whats secure today is not secure tomorrow. Hell the way this planet is going it may not be secure in 15 minutes, let alone tomorrow.

Hey stupid register. God I can't believe how people don't read well enough to understand sarcasm.

Boy some people are just all rocket scientists.

Here's a hint

There are so many ways people can read someone and take it a certain way. Something I have learned....use the sarcasm tag. There are people here that actually say and believe what you said. Thats the scary part.
