Re: Download Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) Now! Just tried the product, and am satisfied. It found things that Adaware, HijackThis, and SpybotS&D all missed. Before I removed the "threats", I opened up regedit to verify the specified keys did exist, and I verified the two corrupt file did exist. Sure enough, they both did.
Now earlier in the thread, one mentioned it found RealVNC to be a "threat". It did the same with me. However, in the description box, it does let you know..something along these lines.. "If you are using RealVNC in a commercial environment, or know its been installed, its not a threat. However, if you did not know its been installed, it should be considered a high threat." ...which can be considered a realistic assessment.
I just selected "Ignore" and went about my business removing the other two real threats. Running the scan a second time, realvnc doesnt pop up as a threat anymore. Problem solved.
Overall, based on my initial runs with it, I'd give it a thumbs up.
