Re-breanded "Giant"

Already using Giant along with Ad-aware & Spybot. Have had no problems with Giant, and it does seem to catch things other 2 programs miss. But why would MS need to buy this company to get decent spyware protection? Wasn't it 3 years ago that Chairman Bill announced "trusted computing" as a MS mission statement. Would think with all the advantages(insider knowledge of OS etc.) and money that a decent anti-spyware program would have been a slam-dunk.

They bought it because of the way Giant uses a community to help w/spyware. Due to variants all the time, a group is better equipped (and prepared) for different types of malware. Their OS itself is such a sprawling pile they need outside help containing its madness... Who knows. Giant had already built the database of bad stuff, and a good system to help avoid future baddies. If MS themselves had built up an antispy proggy, no one would believe them. It may have worked, but why re-invent the wheel.
my 2 cents anyway.
