Wrong direction

I would rather Microsoft spend their resources cleaning up all the ActiveX & other known loopholes of their existing products. Catching malware after-the-fact is the wrong direction.

There's many good adware / antivirus applications that already exist, but there's limited alternatives to the OS faults that so easily permits the infestations.
