Re: DSL network speed erratic.......unreliable. My fater has a brand new modem from his SBC/dsl installation a few months ago. Could I use that? Would I have to configure my router differently? |

1 edit | if your router is handling the pppoe then you shouldn't have to do anything at all.. If his modem is a 5100b and he had it set up to do the pppoe then you would have to put the modem in bridge mode, again that's only for the 5100b modem. |
