Re: [it's cool] Patches the Horse When I was a teen-ager (too darned long ago ) on our farm I had a horse, Lady, that my sisters and I had raised from birth. She apparently thought she was a dog (or a person, maybe,) because if you left the screen door on the porch unhooked, she'd manage to pull it open with her nose and hoof and waltz right in the house.
She was pretty quiet, too. I vividly remember the first time she got inside the house. My mom let out a movie-calibre blood-curdling shriek when she turned around from the kitchen stove and found herself nose-to-nose with Lady. After I stopped laughing and gasping for breath, I escorted Lady outside. My mom was NOT amused.
