Re: Cox dropping (not blocking) P2P traffic No. I have SP1 and I'm still crippled. |

 | reply to afx114 I am a Cox Calif. user. I could upload 60-80 Kb/s and download 200-300 Kb/s on the BT last month. Now, I can upload 2-3 Kb/s and download 10-15 Kb/s. I did not change a single setting in my computer..
I could use Emule with HighID. But, I cannot get HighID anymore.
I formatted my computer and try to download stuff with BT and EMule again without any XP service pack. But, it did not help.
I cannot download even unlicensed anime which does not make any sense.. If I want to only surf on the web and check e-mail, I will buy AOL or netzero or whatever..
I am not sure how long more I will stay with COX.. |

| reply to afx114 OK I think this thread has just about worn itself out.
Some are having issues and some are not, even the locations get the same "some do some dont"
As a general Rule port blocking is not done per machine from the ISP side. It would effect entire Nodes and larger areas.
So lets put this one away for now. -- InsUW: Intelligent Networked Soldier Used for Warfare ... [BBR] Clan Leader America's Army online |
