Re: Cox dropping (not blocking) P2P traffic

No. I have SP1 and I'm still crippled.

I am a Cox Calif. user. I could upload 60-80 Kb/s and download 200-300 Kb/s on the BT last month. Now, I can upload 2-3 Kb/s and download 10-15 Kb/s. I did not change a single setting in my computer..

I could use Emule with HighID. But, I cannot get HighID anymore.

I formatted my computer and try to download stuff with BT and EMule again without any XP service pack. But, it did not help.

I cannot download even unlicensed anime which does not make any sense.. If I want to only surf on the web and check e-mail, I will buy AOL or netzero or whatever..

I am not sure how long more I will stay with COX..

Are you sure its not just the torrents you are running that are going so slow? I have had many a torrent, mainly from folks in England, which was so slow.

BT and WinMX appear to be functioning normal to me. WinMX is the speed I usually got with Verizon.

2005-03-27 20:03:09 EST: 4040 / 504
Your download speed : 4137785 bps, or 4040 kbps.
A 505.1 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 516129 bps, or 504 kbps.

It would seem that being a mod has it's privileges.

OK I think this thread has just about worn itself out.

Some are having issues and some are not, even the locations get the same "some do some dont"

As a general Rule port blocking is not done per machine from the ISP side. It would effect entire Nodes and larger areas.

So lets put this one away for now.
