Yes, because SE, I imagine, has the required component. Windows 98 does not.

It's a minor quibble, EXCEPT when you try installing on a new Windows 98 installation (by ftp or CD) without having to touch IE. I've tried.

Note: They may have fixed this in the last few releases, but I doubt it.

It might be assumed that running an older non-updated IE might be like looking for a hooker at the AIDS clinic. Kinda dangerous, wouldn't you agree?

That's the point. I wasn't RUNNING it at all, and had no intention to, which was exactly why I was trying to install the Weasel.

Anyway, I generally find myself happier with the real Mozilla suite.
