Re: [Help Me] I need help with my DLink DI-524

OK. When I was going through your many suggestions, I ended up facing an additional problem. After playing around with the ethernet cables several times, plugging the ISP directly into my computer, then plugging it back into the router and running the winipcfg to get the IP information to fill in for the router configurations, the status light on my router wouldnt turn green anymore. Then, randomly, around half an hour later, the light turned green again, but my internet still would not work when passing through the router. It refuses to even let me connect to 192.168.0.1 to access my DLink configurations. It says "detecting proxy settings" at the bottom of my browser window, followed by a "This page could not be found". I'm beggining to wonder if the router could possibly be defective.

"detecting proxy settings"

Don't why your light was out for certain other than the modem may have been re-syncing
Would think if the browser window says detecting proxy that you may want to look in the browser connection configurations and make sure you're not set as proxy connect there. In IE Tools/Internet Options/Connections/LAN connection;
No proxy settings, no Auto Detect checked.
