Re: Amerika ist wunderbar!

I actually just got new, updated numbers on how much SBC spent against Fiber For Our Future....they amended their first filing. They are up to $209,212.04 at this point. Seems they forgot some pesky phone calls totalling over $16K.

Comcast, on the other hand, is puzzling me. They are claiming in-kind contributions in the $89K area. Yet only claiming one expenditure (donation) in the amt. of $3,000 to the St. Charles Jaycees. How can that be? Well, it can't. They didn't get everything donated to them, I'll tell ya that. Do they expect us to believe the local papers donated all the ads that Comcast placed? How about all the mailers they sent out? SBC paid the same vendor Comcast used....Hmmmmm. Interesting, and I think it warrants some looking into.

On the IL. State Board of Elections site:

For Comcast's you have to uncheck the "active" box.

Comcast: »www.elections.state.il.us/CDS/pa···/31/2004

SBC's campaign disclosure statement. Click on itemized lists.
