Re: [Util] "D-Link Connection Monitor" utility

Another quick update (1.7.92) that fixes other router info for the new DI-604 3.52 firmware, and can now access the same tray icon popup menu by right-clicking an empty spot in the panel.

Cheers

Another quick update, 1.7.95...

- Had to fix the other router info again, never noticed before it would mess up when the router didn't have an IP (being 0.0.0.0) and no DNS (just blank) when isp is down for a while, e.g.

- Fixed minor quirk in settings dialog with the ping buttons.

Cheers!

I've used this utility to monitor traffic on my DI-624 and find it very useful. In my situation I'm sharing my satellite broadband with neighbours (using predefined IP) and thus would like to monitor the bandwidth used by each of them. It would be great if you can add a feature to monitor bandwidth by local IP addr...

Does this work for you?

For what it's worth, this does not work on my DI-624 H/W: E1 - F/W: 5.00

Re: [Util] "D-Link Connection Monitor" utility

I do have a question - why would the "out port" ALWAYS be a 60000+ port instead of the ports you specify? Thats one of my main annoyances.. Ex: I runa game server with the port 29070 udp in/out.. it picks 60045 or something for in.. Why is it doing that? and is there any way to fix it? People cannot list it as a favorite as it always changes..

Thanks, Charles

Looks like the latest DI-624 Rev. C Beta driver, Firmware Version: 2.75, Firmware Date: Thu, 29 Jun 2006,
is giving it a problem.

==========
Up Time: 0:55:52 Boot: Thursday 7/6/2006 3:49:50 PM
Network: {2} (Could not get other router info: 401 Unauthorized)
==========

I do have a P/W and need it to get into the web page. Also same one in the Monitor, and had been the one I used before with the prior firmware and it worked fine. Running version 1.7.95.

Hmmm... I guess you're already sure you reentered the password for the *User* account in the router's settings, which the monitor app uses (not the Admin account)?

I'm sure there's a better techy explanation, but it probably just has to do with how the router operates using NAT; that is, the 60000+ ports are actually internal to the router and not what the outside world is seeing as accessible.

Opps, your right... I didn't read the HELP and rested on my memory, which is faulty.

Changed USER P/W, works fine, thanks...

No dice!

Hi. Does that mean there simply is not NATLIST.TXT anymore using that firmware?

Di-624c with 2.76b5 works fine with the connection monitor!

Quick update 1.7.97: Removed the 'older firmware' menu choices since they redesigned the Canadian site and removed the older firmware there; and fixed a few very minor quirks found since .95. Download: »ftp://64.34.164.24:2122/public/D-Link%···itor.zip

There is a new page on the DI-634M for connections.
More stuff than on the 624 natlist

»192.168.0.1/get_active_sessions_data.html
You sometimes have to login and then push that url.

Just wanted to say this is a great utility you've provided Scree. I've been using it for a while and it is great to see you still updating it.
