Taking me out of context now? Classic rock will die with its generation of baby boomers...

Can you pick up any Fort Myers stations? Some days I was able to pick up Zeta from where I am, so you might be able to pick up this station from where you are, try 99.3 "99X". I don't listen to it so I can't say much for the quality of the music but it is considered a rock/alternative station.

We just lost our Oldies station. Now we just got a mediocre classic rock station and crappy "alternative" stations.

Yeah, I might be able to pick up Fort Myers. I know I can pick up West Palm Beach's rock station, 103.1 The Buzz, but only when I'm in North Broward. Big 105.9 is still on, and I listened to Paul & Ron to see if they would be talking about Zeta, but nothing. I'm still in a state of shock and disbelief. There must be another radio company willing to fill South Florida's gaping hole in the market.

Heh, the funniest part is yesterday the DJ's on Zeta were talking about what was going to be going on today and everything. Clear Channel must have pulled this out of their ass and I bet there are a lot of angry ex-Zeta employees.

In my area we have 103.7 and 105.9 that are rock. Then 95.5 is classic rock and 106.9 is all 80's rock.

My fiance and I were driving to dinner last night. We were flipping through our preprogrammed stations and when it came to 94.9 zeta's turn to play, we both stopped. Almost got into a really bad accident. WE WERE SO APPALLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!What had just happened here????? How do get to listen to new rock music now????? NO Bonsai?? NO Halloweenie Roast??? Our world just came crashing down. . . . . Clear Channel just made a BIG mistake. . . .

94.9 Zeta was never the same after Kimba left. I remember Zeta from the late 70's. Then they had brain lock and changed format to some kind of dance music station called I-95 sometime in the 80's. That didn't last too long and they went back to rock a short while later. I must be getting old cause I remember when South Fla had 3 rock and roll stations, WZTA, WSHE and K102. Ancient history. Looks like satellite radio is the way to go these days.

More insider information....Clear Channel, dropped the format as Advertising revenue hit the bottom. Executives are hopeful that switching to a trendy Latin influenced sound will save the station.
There is no Alternative Rock format south of Infinity owned, The Buzz, in W.Palm Beach.

Yeah, like we don't have enough latin music stations in South Florida already. Its hard to find an open frequency these days that isn't filled with it. I guess its one less programmed button on my radio now (luckily for me I like country and we still have one of those...go figure).
