 | Bought by verizon? By watching the news, Verizon merged with MCI. Is this only for their cell phone division or the whole company?
And I wonder if we are looking for any changes in our DSL services because of this? |
|
 | this is it for competition. If the government let this go thru, we are going to see higher prices and shitty service. hopefully this merger is denied by fcc. |

I agree, I wouldn't want to verizon annex another big company. If possible, i want to see a foreign company buying MCI. |

leno join:2004-04-02 Astoria, NY 1 edit | Soapm, back in 1997, British Telecommunications joined the bidding war for MCI. |

| So what is going to happen to your service? Once Verizon takes over, you can all kiss that beautiful $20.00 a month service goodbye.
This is what I hate about Corporations, Mergers....
The UUnet backbone will now be controlled by Verizon. It is too bad, because I really liked MCI. |
