The funny thing is that lots of people not only watch those shows, but actually pick up the phone and purchase the products! It's almost like legal, televised SPAM! The best part about those "shows" is that they try to convince you that the most absurdly stupid product ever created will grow your hair, mop your floor, keep you children happy, and slice tomatoes! All for the incredible price of just $19.99, but ONLY if you call in the next 10 minutes.....operators are standing by

Service/website... kinda both. You can go there, but the Record function only works for Giga Pocket(Sony) tuners(I think).

Directv... Tried (s-video w/ rca & coax cable from dvr to tuner) but the tuner will only show the channel which is currently displayed on TV. I'm guessing it has to do with encoding.

and how do you suppose your program is supposed to change the channel in the receiver ?

it needs to be interfaced to the receiver either with an ir port or serial if you have one on your receiver.

By the way you can't tune dual channels on satellite unless you have 2 inputs on the receiver itself.

I don't have sat TV, I have cable. The site/service (Sony iEPG) is setup for Sonys with recording capabilities. The site/service also lists most channels on most services(even broadcast). Can't comment on how the sat listings work, cable works great!

Good enough for me! No monthly charges or phoning home.

I use titantv with my dishnetwork set up. damn ir controller cost $45 and couple 160 gig sata hdd cost me $140 well worth the cost.
