Excluding being guilty of monopolistic practices, squashing innovation, buying companies just to close them down because they were a threat, and having some of the most attacked and insecure products, yeah I'd say he had done a great job. I think he'd fit in well with the current structure of the federal government.
The whole point of my original quote is that it's like having a fox guard the hen house. The others mentioned also had successful careers at some point in their lives. Yet they still ended up in trouble doing the things that they did (in some form or another).
