·RoadRunner Cable

Distance

I don't live within 18,000 feet of the CO. Not everyone does and this is where cable comes in. There is no distance requirement for cable so unless the Bells can get past this distance requirement, DSL isn't an option for those of us that are "in the sticks" and probably never will be.
Thank God for cable.

Not everyone that lives in the sticks even have cable as an option. Closest cable line to me is 9 miles away. TW has no plans of expanding out to here either as it would be to costly for them. So we get our TV through DirecTv, but I will never touch Direcway for Satellite internet. To expensive for me with the FaP on top of it which I will go over just about every day. Not to mention, I'm a gamer and Sat does not work for gaming.

There will always be people out of range of one or the other technology. I'm the other way around. Cable broadband is not available here but DSL is. It cuts both ways.
