o man i kno what ur talkin bout i hate dial up... and im pretty sure that dsl or cable isnt avalible in my area. i hate it. well i guess i cant blame them for not makin it avalible in my area cause i basically live in hick-ville so... yea my only option is satillite. *cough* waste of money. $700 installation fee + $100 a month = a stupid investment.. but yea o well mayb someday they will make it in my area
Yea, I understand. Poca WV. EPodunk. Not a big town but Adelphia finally wired are area about 18 months ago for HSI. They upgraded us the last few days to 6M/752K or so. I think now days it should be called daildown. Certain your not dailing anything up!
reply to dsless Why don't you use analog modem connection teaming. 2 phone lines and a dialup account is cheaper than $120 and gets you 56k x 2 = 112K! I have never tried it, but it does exist! You can also buy external devices which have a pair of modems in it that does the teaming of the modems for you. You just plug in the modems to the phone lines and setup your dial up #s and account name and password. Good Luck!
