Re: Tivo isnt worth it I dunno. The Dish network visited my house just yesterday with a "Free TiVo" offer. I didn't answer the door cause I saw the logo on the guys shirt (they left the flyer on my door) but there is still the question about what happens when the company goes out of business...OOooohh Free TiVo that I can't use...lolol

TiVo is a brand name, at worst a larger company would probably buy them out and continue the service -- I support the RIAA |

either they are giving away an actual standalone tivo box separate from the dish stb (unlikely)
or
they are lying about the exact equipment they are giving, and it is more likely they are really giving out the dish brand dvr and calling it a tivo
edit: after looking at their website they are giving a dish dvr and not a tivo, their ad they left you is a lie -- I support the RIAA |
