Re: Socialist?! I guess my position falls somewhere in between dreadzone's and PNH's: I fully believe in free enterprise and do not believe that corporations are inherently evil. I do believe that in order for capitalism to thrive there must be competition. . .real competition, not just two companies (as in the case of Lafayette).
I also believe in a community's right to control its own destiny. BS and Cox have stated that they will not provide the services for which this community is asking. Why shouldn't the government satisfy this need if they won't? |
