| I don't see why this is impossible. Wise customer on Comcast have been doing this for decades. I know a user that got 1 years of service for 19.95 and then some more if keeps calling in and threatning to cancel.

I think the 6000/600 44.99 package is still available but hidden from the public's eye  it was a secret afterall.
Just ask to be put on this if you qualify for this kind of speed

Everytime i call comcast to threaten to cancel, they just ask when i want the tech to pick up the modem! I have the 6600/768 tier though. They might not have promo's on that or the rep i keep getting is having a bad day.

Indianapolis, IN | When I cancelled Comcast recently they offered me a $10 discount on the 6/768 tier. They just couldn't match the SBC deal, for an identical price to Comcast's internet access I could get SBC DSL and local phone service and the service is a lot more stable. |

Ask for 20 discount, and it will only be 10 dollars more then 19.95 so it isn't impossible to do.

join:2000-05-11 | Give it a shot, you may get lucky. If not, wait and do it on a weekday (Tues-Fri., Mondays they are overloaded again) during "normal business hours". You'll tend to get more "A team" people on the phone, and they are more likely to work with you and not just blow it off since they don't get any sales credit for these.
