| Copper? I think verizon is trying to get people in FIOS areas to switch to FIOS so they can get rid of their copper ASAP. This e-mail may be from a customer in a FIOS area, and it is not in all areas yet. FIOS will soon be fully active in my area within about a week. I also signed up for the annual contract back in december so i could get a new modem/router combo unit (old router died). I will calll them first thing monday and see what the heck is going on. On a side note, i was also a victim of "mobile home syndrome". Our loop length went from 10k feet to 15k feet magically one month, but our lines are so clean that my 768 service usually registers on speed tests at about 760 (actual throughput). Soon i will get FIOS, and not have to worry about loop length ... something for the mobile home syndrome victims to think about... |
