Re: I'm not surprised. Pathfidner, I also signed up during Bell Atlantic Infospeed. 640/90. I got upgraded to 1.5/128, then 1.5/384. All though out this I was always 12,500 feet away.
Friday my house moves 5,000 feet and my modem resyncs to 768/128.
What makes me upset is that my ISP, the people who I've paid bills to for the past 5 years refuse to do ANYTHING about it. You're 768/128 now, like it or leave it.

PS You might remember my uncle Sedated. He used to live in Brooklyn and owned this line before he moved. I've been paying the bills for the past 2.5-3 years. |

| I remember Sed and Willow too. Miss them on the board. As far as houses moving, the cables are constantly being worked on. It sucks but a cable throw can and does tack loop length onto pairs all the time. And somewhat perfect lines can read different distances in MLT. Unfortunately, VOL has no control over what the Verizon core does with the cables. -- support the Hunley |
