I've been in touch with MS (»Problem after MS update KB891711) and they’ve forwarded my issue on to their “Support Professionals”. I’ll pass any word along I hear from them concerning the problem.
In the meanwhile I'll stick with Proxomitrom and maintain control of my web-surfing experience.
... thanks for posting your findings ... since I run W98SE and Proxo, I think I'll sit this one out until M$ tweaks the patch ... I will NOT surf without THE EYE ...
