i've built nearly all my office & workshop furniture (shelves, desks, tables, benches) ... havent gotten into chairs or fine finish work like I'd use in my dining or living room
for a cheap cover on the mdf, you could get some 1/8" melamine laminate and just tack it on there instead of gluing it fully ... 4'x8' sheets are like $6 around here, water proof and tuff as nails

Bowling Green, OH | Agreed! Good call with the melamine laminate, I'll have to run to my local wood place and see what they have... Does anyone know of a site that has good building prints of shelves and computer related setups? thanks!
