Re: DNS slowdown in Philly?

I too am feeling the affects of this slowdown, my download and upload speeds have be practically slashed by more than half!

Down - 56 KB/s
Up - 22 KB/s

By the way, I'm on the 1.5/384 package and am in the Philly area.

Not just Philly. I have same problem in MA. Dig shows query times of >500 ms using UDP but 30-40 ms using TCP. DNS sometimes takes seconds to resolve. Anybody know what is going on here?

The funny thing is, my nntp D/L speeds are right up at 1.5+ Mb/s when the regular WEB stuff is at ~50-200 Kb/s (which is where it is right now.

Go to their system status page and they have "Nothing to report" regarding any DSL problems {-- BS!
