Cant access from domain

I can only access the site from the IP (209.123.109.175), I can't get to it using DSLReports.com or Broadbandreports.com . I have flushed my DNS cache... did DNS settings for the site change recently?

I think they use Round Robin DNS.
It looks like they are having problems again. It's been hit or miss all morning for me.

www2 will work for now, we're under an attack again, and this time he brought more friends.

I'm using www2 right now....is there any chance this could affect that, and if so, do we have ANOTHER alternative? I'm thinking once they get wind of www2.....

And is there anything we can do to help?

Thanks again to you and the others for your hard work on the weekend. Wish there was something that could be done to put enough of a hurt on those responsible that would prevent any recurrance.

I'm also using ww2 as dslreports does not exist if I try using my regular bookmark. I hope you get those creeps good.

it'll be sorted out soon. We did some DNS jumping around. Now we're back on all variations (www and www2 on dslreports and broadbandreports.com) although DNS might not resolve www.dslreports.com for an hour.

Picked up over 8000 ips from a pretty fine botnet

This is how it's looking so far. I'd been having problems getting on to the site since I got home around 4 pm EST.

This is what's going on when i try to access the site.

I click on my shortcut. It say's connecting for a sec, then waiting for responce.. It sits there for a while.. Then stop.. leaving me in the same place i started.. is this just me?

dan

Edit: Isn't the spacing weird on the pic above or is it just me being paranoid again?

Wish there was a way to bounce their DDOS attacks back to them. Ha that would be funny.

Why the hell do hoodlums target DSLR? Of all the sites....

I wish retards would focus efforts like this on »www.billoreilly.com/ or »icechewing.com/ ...both are equally crappy and deserve to die.

normally they don't, we've had over a year of pretty much nothing.
But someone annoyed is paying unknown person or persons to create problems, I would guess. Although they are not getting much for their cash so far. If it is just a kid getting back at being moderated, then large botnets must be much more common and disposable than i thought.

I guess so. For me to invest an hour (+) of effort and the chance of a talk with the FBI would take a lot more than me "getting moderated" on some website. If the website stole my girlfriend or killed my cat...maybe.

From what was said in the Security thread ( »[Tech] Another Saturday of DOS @ bbr? ), it's a Distributed attack from a bunch of zombies. They'll have to find the source, not the zombies for it to work.
