You honestly think so? I find it entirely believable. These people don't care what they have to do.
Just wait until they begin filing frivolous lawsuits against anti-spyware vendors. Then it'll get ugly.
Fortunately most of these companies receiving these letters would be able to file a SLAPP suit on these Bozos should they try legal action wish allows them to recover the costs of defending the original litigation as well as damages. Bottom line is these poopware vendors know they are on a sinking ship and they are grabbing at anything they can in order to stay afloat. I don't think it will save them, at least I hope so.
