So long as we adopt a judicial view that "any suit is a good suit," we encourage the frivolous and the extortionist mentality. "Sue 'em... we can't win, but they'll fold on preliminaries and settle..." That's CRAP. That's the ultimate in unethical, immoral thinking. I genuinely hope I'm in the "courtroom" when the idiots and misanthropes who adopt that sort of reasoning face their creator, on that last great day... I'll testify, if I can, to the fallacy of their logic... proudly.

It is easy to see where this all could lead. Hotbar has made threats against Cloudeight Internet and apparently Lavasoft(see »/forum/news,61443 ). Not only are these kinds of threats troubling to but defending oneself against such frivolous threats, consume huge amounts of time - time which undoubtedly could be better spent in more constructive and pleasurable pursuits.

I stand with you and all those who fight against slimeware and the quasi-criminals who produce it. It is unfortunate that some lawyers have no conscience and apparently no misgivings about representing these new terrorists of the Internet; those who can well afford to pay huge legal fees to threaten and harass only because of the money they sucked from people by deception.

Eric, thanks for making this public. You have my support and best wishes in your ongoing fight to shine a light on those who hide in the darkness.

Yes, but that is also a problem. Most lawyers have computers. You would think that the lawyers have had there own personal problems with spyware.

Also if you notice the pic in the pdf. That computer also looks like it has spyware installed too. Just notice the icons in the toolbar! I can see some kind of date/time manager installed.
