Re: NIC caused freezes Several people (myself included) had total system lockups using that NIC. Got 3Coms and problem disappeared. It was horrendous with the Kingston--the PC would lockup even if I wasn't surfing...only "solution" was a hard reboot, which all versions of Window$ just love...:) I too had reformatted and installed EVERYTHING new, but as long as that Kingston was in my machine it froze up. Everyone I know that is in the networking biz tells me the Kingston is a pretty good NIC, and I believe them, but certain PCs cough it up like a hairball. |
