Should be purely dependent on CPU speed... Nothing else... Another good way to test speed of a System (cpu, bus, memory) would be to render some Flame Fractals at 2500x or higher. »www.apophysis.org/

here's mine, basically same CPU as yours, with twice the Cache, and a slight Overclock, but still didn't do much better
