InterTAN has a prototype store at Yorkdale... i forget what it's called but i'll assume they're gonna go with that name... unless Circuit City wants to try and build some brand recignition... they could name them Circuit City Express like their american mall-sized stores..

Actually the news that Circuit City owns Radio Shack comes as no small surprise to me. Is anyone else here worried that now the 3 major electronics chains in Canada are all under one roof? Future Shop, Radio Shack and Circuit City are all essentially the same company now. Globalization sucks if all it can succeed in doing is creating monopolies in media, communications and merchandising... 15 years ago everyone cheered when AT&T was broken up by the American Gov't. Now it looks like we've just traded off one monopoly for a a bunch of new ones in every field....

You should see the store in Owen Sound. I was in there a week ago and found it so crowded with silly little geegaws and toys that the really good stuff was simply not visible.

well... theres the promenade mall store near me, it still has all the electronic adapters and cables etc....
the new one at the RioMarketplace near me has none of that stuff, just the stupid toys..
