Assuming you have logging enabled, which it is by default, you should have log files that show each request for each page & object on a page on your web server.

In IIS Manager, right click on the web site and select Properties. On the initial tab at the bottom will be the Enable Logging section. Click the Properties button to see where your logs are being stored. It will show the directory and log file name.

You can then open the log files in a text editor or process them thru one of many free log programs which will give you summary info/charts.

It says that when a request for the file dcp_0252.jpg (Kasia's pretty lake photograph) arrives other than when referred from her own website, it sends a different image: /images/ebayscam.jpg. This means the image works fine in her own gallery, but those who leech the image get something else.

I suppose it could have been more fine-tuned by looking for "match eBay referrer" rather than "anything other than my own referrer", so this breaks any other links that might be out there now.

One of them was on nil See Profile's webserver, who found an odd entry in her referrer logs. The guy was (a) stealing bandwidth by linking to her image, (b) misappropriating her copyrighted image for commercial gain, and (c) badly misrepresenting the property in question.

So yesterday she used mod_rewrite to replace the image of a beautiful lake with a trash-strewn hillside, as well as sent email to eBay asserting her copyright. Nothing happened, so she put up a different image.
